Five Slovenian bands performed in Šiška’s Komuna hall on Tuesday 6 May, and two of them, Your Gay Thoughts and The Canyon Observer will also play at the major Croatian festival of popular music – INmusic.
Five performing bands – the two mentioned plus Roger N. Out, Ludovik Material and Trus! – were selected by the board from among sixty-three applicants. Yesterday, the main board consisting of Luka Zagoričnik (editor of Odzven online magazine), Petra Tihole (music journalist) and Roberto Bulešič (producer, musician, manager of SAE Ljubljana), was supplemented by two representatives of the festival: Zoran Marić (director of INmusic) and Ivana Jelača (festival programme coordinator). The latter were impressed with the quality of the performing bands, but the board made a joint decision and selected the audiovisual collective Your Gay Thoughts to perform at the festival. The post-metal band The Canyon Observer was selected by the audience – 233 visitors casting their votes.
